Trove Full Guide [Work in Progress]

Post by crystalxluke on Sat Jul 25, 2015 10:10 pm

Trove is quite a wonderful game but not nearly everything is explained, and some people won't even look at the wikipedia. I plan to slowly work at making a full guide for it, as I can.

This is currently a work in progress.

    Introduction
    Let's go over some vocabulary.

    Cornerstone
The cornerstone is like your house. Though, you can build pretty much anything on it, as long as you have the right blocks. There is only so much space in diameter, but you can build as high up as you like. People also cannot destroy anything in/on your cornerstone; only you have that permission over your cornerstone.

    Hub
Hub is like the home world. It's has cornerstone spaces on the outside of the main hub space. It's the most ideal place to build your cornerstone, as no enemies will interrupt you. The hub also has fishing spots, class changers, portals to adventure worlds, and a trading post.

    Trovian
The players are known as Trovians.

    Chat Commands

These are the different commands for changing chat. You must do this by typing the command in the chatbox.

/1Send message in global. Only people in your global chat and have global chat turned on can hear you.
/2Send message in world. Only people in your world can hear you.
/joinJoin or create another chat channel.
    /join (number)Send a message in a chatroom.
    /leaveLeave a chatroom.
/saySend a message to people near you.
/whisper or /w or /tSends a message to one user. You must provide the username after the command and the user must be online. You can also whisper people using the friends list, if they are a friend.
/c1 or /c2 or /c3 or /c4 or /c5Sends a message in club chat. You must match the number the club is. i.e. If you are trying to send a message to your fourth club, you would type /c4
/reply or /rSend a message to the last whisper you received.
    Chatrooms
These are a few chatrooms you can join.

/join priceAccess the price chat for price checking.
/join tradeAccess the trade chat to buy or sell things.
/join saAccess the shadow arena chat to look for groups fighting sa's.
/join skyAccess the sky chat to invite groups of people for mining and fighting in the sky realms.
/join recipeAccess the recipe chat to look for people willing to share recipe dungeons.
/join fishingAccess the fishing chat to look for people to fish with. This is useful for getting help with catching rare fish.
/join adventureJoin the adventure chat to find people to go into the adventure worlds with.
    Rule of thumb
Demanding anything in trove will gain you enemies. Ask for help, but do not demand or beg or whine. That's not what trove is for.

    More to come.
